‘Carbon Thumbprint’ wins Cannes Bronze Lion Award

Digital and AI app campaign nabs coveted international gong

This one's going straight to the pool room!

Today Belong’s Carbon Thumbprint campaign took out the Bronze Lion for Digital Craft - Data Storytelling and AI at the 2021 Cannes Lion International Festival of Creativity.

Mobile data networks in Australia are estimated to create more than half a million tonnes of CO2 every year. Your estimated portion – the CO2 created by your mobile network data usage – is your Carbon Thumbprint.

With help from our friends at Deloitte Digital, Belong created a TV, radio, cinema, outdoor, digital and social campaign, and immersive AR experience with an app. The app has had more than 16,000 downloads and 100,000 customers joined Belong since it's launch.

As Belong's Social Creative Lead I co-produced a number of videos, blogs and interactive quizzes to drive engagement for the campaign across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linkedin.
