For decades, farmers across the Eyre Peninsula have gone to Agsave Merchandise in Kimba for seed, fertiliser, ag chemicals, mouse bait, and agronomy advice.
Agsave wanted to take that local word of mouth and carry it into a clear, practical digital presence online.
The situation
Agsave is a family-owned farm input retailer with more than 30 years’ experience supporting farmers across Kimba and the wider Eyre Peninsula. The business provides:
- Agronomy services
- Ag chemicals
- Fertiliser and nutrition
- Seed
- Mouse bait
- Input finance
- Farming supplies
It is Kimba’s only independently owned agchemical supplier.
Within the region, the business was well understood. Outside the region, it was harder for people to see the full scope of what Agsave offers. The information available online did not reflect the scale of the business or the role it plays in supporting local farming operations.
At the same time, recruiting staff had become more competitive, with candidates increasingly researching businesses, roles, and locations online before making contact.
What was needed
Agsave needed a website that clearly explained what the business does and how it supports farmers, without changing how it already operates.
Specifically:
- Services needed to be easy to understand and easy to find
- The business needed to appear in local search results for relevant agronomy and farm supply terms
- Potential agronomists needed enough context to assess the role, the business, and the region before reaching out

What I built
I designed and built a structured website in Webflow.
The site was organised around how people actually look for information, rather than internal business structure. It included:
- A clear homepage establishing location, services, and scope
- Dedicated pages for agronomy, input finance, and on-site services
- Product category pages covering ag chemicals, fertiliser and nutrition, seed, pet food, and farming supplies
- Plain-language content written to match common search behaviour
- Clear location, contact, and opening information across all pages
The overall structure was designed to be fast, simple to navigate, and easy to maintain.

The result
Agsave began appearing on the first page of Google for multiple local, high-intent search terms related to agronomy and agricultural supplies in and around Kimba. It's supported recruitment both locally and internationally.
More enquiries came from people who already understood the scope of the business and its services before making contact, reducing friction at the first conversation.
“Our website looks great, ranks well on Google, and helps grow our business in a practical way.” - Tanya Blair, Agsave Merchandise Office Manager.
